Today during the press conference Tiger Woods held to tell the world how “sorry” he was I tweeted a comment, and to my surprise it was picked up by CNN and added to their website. (Link to page)

My comment was “Tiger Woods needs a teleprompter. At least he did not write notes on his hand!” and CNN picked up on it, and tweaked it a bit saying “Tiger Woods needs a teleprompter. At least he did not write notes on his hand!” wrote Twitter user @igobydoc, an apparent reference to a recent speech by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

So NOW I can now officially scratch “Be quoted on CNN website” off my list of things to accomplish! Now I just need to add to it the following: Be quoted again, and this time have @ricksanchezcnn say something on air! Or better yet, have Wolf Blitzer say “Please Stand By, new twitter comment by @iGoByDoc”

Anyway, I thought it was pretty neat, and I figured I would share it on my blog.

Hello Utah and to everyone else around the US, and the world for that matter!

Today I am excited that The 12for12k Challenge announced that it is supporting a charity called Eye Care For Kids throughout the month of July 2009.

Eye Care For Kids is located right here in Salt Lake City, Utah!

Every childhood dream begins with a vision. Eye Care For Kids makes sure the vision can happen.

Eye Care for Kids has provided humanitarian aid to more than 20,000 children since 2001. Their program helps visually impaired kids from poor and low-income families get the treatment they so desperately need.

Just $25.00 will provide one child with an eye examination and a free pair of glasses.

Special attention to all fellow Utah bloggers, Facebook users and Twitterers, I am reaching out to you to help spread the word here in our state during July… and beyond.

This is an excellent organization, and I am so impressed with them every time I visit their offices and meet with founder Joseph Carbone.

I was lucky enough to meet up with Joseph a few months back, and was thrilled to be able to update their website, and start Eye Care For Kids on a social media path as well.

Well, I have been wanting to get a blog going for years… but never had the time. My days are usually busy working on other matters such as well…. WORK and LIFE.

My days are always crazy… between running my business and being a single dad I am almost always occupied.

So here it is, Monday night, and I have a few moments to finally get this blog online. My goal is to update this puppy 3-5 times a week, who knows maybe more. I intended on hosting my own blog, but no time to design and implement these days… so blogger will do for now. Soon I will rework the design and such to be more reflective of my personality, business and brand.

Speaking of brand… I own a couple of different companies, and rep a few different products as well… but at the end of the day I decided the best brand to use in the marketing that I do is my own brand… iGoByDoc. Planning a website for this endeavor as well as a new logo etc. So be on the lookout for that in the coming weeks! It will be one stop for everything Doc… a portal into my life and work. I like the idea anyway!

What all will I talk about here on the Doc Block? Who knows… whatever is on my mind I suppose. In my mind I want this blog to be fun and informative for all to read. I may talk about a product or service that I like, a movie I just saw, or industry related information. Basically it will be my little place online to scribe my rants and raves… everyone needs an outlet right?

So to all who come to the Doc Block… welcome. Hey, as I just wrote that line I was thinking of what to call the people who will eventually follow me on here… and I came up with Block Heads. LOL…. okay maybe not. But I do mean it in a nice way… besides, I think I am the Block Head!
